Classic Rock & Roll
60's, 70's & 80's
Pat Fitzgerald
bass guitar, lead and background
vocals

Pat Fitzgerald's first tunes on bass in the late 60's included
Doobie
Brothers and Grand Funk Railroad for the grooves, and Black Sabbath
and Black
Oak Arkansas to piss off his mother. He dreamed then of an amplifier
the size
of a refrigerator, and now he has it. He no longer has to pick
set lists to
irritate his mother, having learned many non-musical ways to do
that even
when trying not to (although she would and did argue that the
aforementioned
groups were non-musical as well). For his lead vocals, he does
still
gravitate towards songs with a Bad Attitude.
He has played in big bands ranging from the Lord Botetourt
High School
Stage Band's performance for Spiro Agnew to two stints at Jazz
Vermont. He
was one of the original members of Los Cucaraches Del Muerte,
and has played
on recordings by singer-songwriter Bill Wood.
Musical influences include but are not limited to:
Ray Brown, Chuck
Rainey, Tony Levin, Mark Egan, Ed Safransky, Craig Snazelle, Tom
Wakeling,
Glen Moore, Tom Wilson, Dizzy Gillespie, J.J. Johnson, and Kai
Winding.
