Classic Rock & Roll
60's, 70's & 80's
Neal Girard
drums, percussion, background
vocals
From his first drumming experiences
in 1964 playing along to Beatles songs on a large
glass jar lid with a pair of pencils, Neal has been a Rock and
Roller.
After a long hiatus from drumming
in high school and college garage bands,
he started playing again in 2000 and has been involved in the
jam scene in Bend since.
Music runs in the family. His
wife Lorell plays clarinet in the Central Oregon Symphony and
teaches
privately. His son Dylan is a trumpet major at U of O - you can
hear him playing in the
Marching Band and the Green Garter Band. Go Ducks!
Neal spends his workdays engineering
titanium castings at PCC-Schlosser in Redmond.
Musical influences:
Don Brewer, Bill Bruford, Bobby Caldwell, Ian Paice, Carl Palmer
This quote says it all:
"I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it"
